Text tools often handle sensitive drafts: a cover letter, an essay, a contract or a message you haven’t sent yet. Many online tools upload that text to a server to process it. Ours don’t. Every text tool on Ali Tools Express runs entirely in your browser, so what you paste never leaves your device.
Each tool explains exactly how it counts, so you know why its result may differ slightly from your word processor, and when to trust the count used by your teacher, publisher or platform instead.
Counting words sounds simple until you meet hyphenated compounds, contractions, URLs, accented letters or Cyrillic text. Our tools use the Unicode text-segmentation rules built into your browser, the same rules it uses to move the cursor word by word, so counts stay sensible across English, German, Spanish and Russian.
The tools are designed for phones first and stay responsive even when you paste a very long document. Results update as you type, buttons are large enough to tap, and everything works with a keyboard and a screen reader. If something doesn’t work for you, please tell us through the contact page.
Limits differ between platforms: essays usually count words, while social posts, meta descriptions and text messages count characters, sometimes including spaces. Check which rule applies, write freely first, then trim. Cutting repeated ideas and filler phrases usually brings a draft under the limit without losing anything important.
