Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what information Ali Tools Express (“we”, “us”) collects when you use alitoolsexpress.com, how we use it and the choices you have. The site is operated by Ali Ahmed. Contact: contact@alitoolsexpress.com.

The short version

  • What you type into our calculators stays in your browser. Calculations run on your device. We do not receive, store or sell your inputs.
  • We do not require accounts and do not ask for your name or email to use any tool.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security.
  • If we show advertising, Google and its partners may use cookies, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent first.

Information we collect

Calculator inputs

All tools run in your web browser. Numbers and text you enter are not sent to our servers. A few tools remember a preference on your device using local storage, for example whether you prefer metric or imperial units, or that you dismissed the language suggestion. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical information when your browser requests a page: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page and browser type. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept for a limited period according to the host’s retention settings.

Emails you send us

If you contact us, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply and keep them only as long as needed to handle your request.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used, so we know what to improve. Google Analytics records the pages you view, the page that referred you, your approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses), your device, browser and screen size, and how long you stay. We send page addresses without query strings, and we never send what you type into a tool, amounts, file contents or any other personal data. The Accounts workspace does not load Google Analytics at all.

  • Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> (up to 2 years) to tell visits apart. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: analytics storage is off by default (Google Consent Mode), and no analytics cookies are set unless you give consent through the consent message, once it is live.
  • Elsewhere: you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Cookies and advertising

At the time of writing, the site does not set advertising cookies. We plan to show ads through Google AdSense to keep the tools free. When ads are enabled:

  • Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland will see a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before any personalised advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Other vendors can be managed at www.aboutads.info (US) and www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

See our Cookie Policy for the list of cookies by category.

Where data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests for security logs and replying to messages, and on consent for analytics and advertising cookies that are not strictly necessary.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. California residents may request information about, and deletion of, personal information and may opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our tools are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

Our hosting and advertising partners may process data in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, those partners use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
